GPCC Person-centred Care Arena webinar 2: Multi-stakeholder partnerships for person-centred care

Join us in a celebration of international “What matters to you?” Day at this webinar showcasing research on participatory approaches in various contexts and settings related to health care. The first three presentations will cover results and study protocols from projects in GPCC’s new strategic research focus area “Development of partnerships between patient representatives, the general public and healthcare organizations and decision-making systems”. The final presentation by our international scientific advisor Maria J. Santana (University of Calgary, Alberta),  will cover public and patient engagement in health research.

For over a decade The University of Gothenburg Centre for Person-centred Care (GPCC) has been performing multidisciplinary interventional and explorative studies on person-centred care in a wide variety of health care settings. Effects show significantly improved quality of care, increased patient satisfaction and reduced costs. GPCC also works with utilisation, implementation and education.

Global Conference on Person-Centre Care: Knowledge(s) and Innovation for Health in Changing Societies

Welcome to the first Global Conference on Person-Centred Care, that will take place in Gothenburg, Sweden, from 14-16 May, 2024.
Optional pre-conference workshops will be offered lunch to lunch from 13-14 May.

The aim of the conference is to provide an arena for various stakeholders with an interest in furthering person-centred care practice, innovations, perspectives, and knowledges. The conference will platform explorations and accounts of person-centred care as related to several interdisciplinary and interprofessional fields, including integrated care, comprehensive care, and personalised health founded on partnerships, transcending healthcare practices and organisations, as well as policy and structural levels.

The conference will be of interest to health professionals from across the globe, patient and family carer representatives, researchers and students from various disciplines, leaders and decisions-makers in healthcare and health policy, as well as the healthcare industry. LearnPCC - Learning about Person-Centred Care in Higher Education

Welcome to Learning about Person-centred care in Higher Education | 12-13 December 2024 | Gothenburg, Sweden

At the LearnPCC conference the participants will have the opportunity for collaborative engagement, aimed at improving modern education for students across all healthcare professions.

The aim of the conference is to advance person-centred approaches in healthcare education. You can expect dissemination of research, exploration of pedagogical approaches and in-depth discussions. We champion best practises and highlight the vital roles of educational institutions in promoting health and well-being through students’ learning of person-centredness in higher education.

Three themes will form the basis of the conference:

  • Pedagogical approaches to teaching and learning of person-centredness in healthcare education
  • Creating compassionate learning environments for students in healthcare education
  • Translating the theory of person-centredness into practice: From university learning to clinical practice

Activities include oral presentations, posters, fishbowl discussions, keynote speakers and networking.
